Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - IRO frame....You recommend it??

SO I'm thinking about getting this IRO frame "Angus" and want some advice on what bb would be suitable and/or what your running on you IRO frame if you have one.

probably best to do a search. iros are well thought of. bb choices are plentiful, as are the rest of the spec options.

fwiw if i were buying an iro i'd go for as many of the house parts and deals as i could.

I guess there really isn't a lot of info on the Angus, though. FWIW I just ordered one complete and paid just over $800, which is probably a good deal.

I might do it "one piece at a time type of deal" ....
for now I have the pedals and the stem and the track handle bars..so now its on to the wheels and frame..

Seatpost 27.2
Weight (frame) 4.25lb size 56cm
Weight (complete bike) 18.6lb size 56cm
Rear Dropout 120mm

and tubing is Reynolds 631 , is it good in your opinon??
I was thinking about getting a soma rush frame but I want to put on my own stem I like threaded forks :D

I assume you think the pake frame is "not so good" WHY?

i think there all crap,soma,iro etc.

Pake is 4130 tubing.
Pretty much bottom of the barrel but not dangerous or easily broken or anything like that - just not as high quality as others.
Reynolds 631 is better but still not great, from what I understand.
I don't believe that I've been riding long enough to tell the difference between 4130 and top of the line so, for me, the Pake is great.
Pake runs $290 frame and fork.
The fork is threadless so I put on a BikeWorks NYC threaded fork.

i think picking a BB depends upon the cranks...

asking if you should get iro on this forum is ridiculous. well, almost. in the case of the angus, i could see there being more questions since it's newer. and one good question that i don't have answer to for it is if the frame's geometry is track-ish enough...not really, i guess.

If you check the geometry page at www.irocyle.com you will see that it shares the geometry of the Mark V.

I am asking because some here may know if its a good frame or if it has its drawbacks.I never have ridden a stock IRO frame or mixed parts IRO frame for that matter and hearing knowledge from people who do own or have ridden one is what I want to hear.
