Let me start out by saying I know nothing about bikes, so try to be patient with me. I registered on this forums for the sole purpose of selling my old Bridgestone MB-2.
My dad recently got into biking and in the process of maintaining the bike, someone at a local bike shop told him it might be worth some money.
I need some help idenitifying this bike:
- the frame is a greenish-gray.
- the fork is red.
- theres a sticker on the fork and the frame that says its CrMo 4130.
- its a 13 speed.
- the gear selector on the right says 'Shimano EM P'
- the gear selector on the left says 'Shimano EM L'
- it has the original aluminum rims.
- the gears sprockets (dont know what the term is) say 'SHIMANO BIOPACE' and a gear ratio.
*The bike is basically its its original condition, as far as I know the only things that have been replaced/maintained are the tires and tube, brake pads, a new seat, and handle grips. All the remaining parts are the original Shimano components.
I think the bike is from early 90's
Any specific information would be helpful. I would like to know what year model the bike is, a fair approximation of its value, any information really. Im a college student trying to save up for next semesters tuition.
Even if this bike isn't worth much, the information would still helpful. If theres specific information that would help you, help me identify this bike, let me know about that too.
I can be reached at feeninbad@aol.com. Can't post pictures here, but I can send specific pictures of parts, bike markings, bike's condition, etc; via email.
Let me know,
Thanks for looking.
