Hi I'm new here, I just got this bike on freecycle, it looks to be in like new condition except it needs new tubes. The top tube has Concord Freedom 12 and the downtube says Concord Select 12. I am looking for any information I can find on this model.
Thank you in advance
Tim

yes, Concord's were built from lugged hi-ten steel by Kurahara in the mid-late 1980's as a low-to-mid range compliment to their own models. Kurahara built mostly BMX under their name, but did some nice road frames including a top of the line touring frame built of Ishiwata 019, tange forks, and cast Suntour dropouts.
Kurahara made a great many bikes for other manufacturers under contract and the vast majority of them are of decent build quality. One difference between the "house brand" Kurahara's and the rebadged ones is that the house branded ones (Concord, Kurahara etc) were shipped with a Kurahara stamped headset whereas other manufacturers spec'ed their own.
