The law firm I work for asked me if I wanted to go to Houston to work in their firm there. My favorite lawyer works in the Houston firm, and I have been really hating Dallas lately, so I said "Hell, yeah!" Will be moving next week!

Oh gosh, good luck. I hope you don't mountain bike, they don't call it flatston for nothing. ;) I think you just need to make the hop over to Austin.

Good luck. Wish it was me... moving in general, not necessarily to Houston. Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

Yes, I did. Which is why I have a favorite lawyer in Houston. :D

The move back to Houston doesn't really have much to do with the city. I just like the firm in Houston better.

Thanks for the well-wishes!

Welcome to gashappy Houston, where the cagers are plum stupid, plum crazy, got their heads up their @$$es, or all of the above, where bike commuting isn't just an adventure, it's a safari.
IMHO, the best bike for these untamed streets is a rigid beater hybrid or cityfied MTB, steel or cro-mo, with at least cantis on the front, puncture resistant simislicks, and lit up like a UFO. Be prepared to dodge stupid cager tricks in an instant.

Oh, and congrads on the job.
