What would be the best for core strength training during the winter? Power Yoga or Pilates?

I've done pilates for about 8 months and find it is great for cycling! My back and neck used to get a bit sore after longish rides (3+ hours), but Pilates really helped with that. I can maintain a good position much more easily now over long distances. I've also noticed that it helps increase flexibility and make it so my quads and hamstrings aren't as tight.

Pilates is the core strength training. For flexibility and meditation, as well as overall muscle strength, you can do power yoga- though I sometimes prefer ashtanga yoga.

Or check out Core Performance (http://coreperformance.com/) by Mark Verstegen. Some exercises, based on physioballs and plyometrics for building core strength, balance and flexibility, should be good for cycling. (I got the book at the library but I haven't tried the exercises yet.) He has a 12 week program, which looks pretty lame to me because it de-empahasizes cardio training. But the basic exercises should be great for cycling.

EDIT: That link requires some kind of registration. You might just want to get the book. It's free at your local library.
