It was pretty nice today. My first ride in 2006.

Looks very nice!! :)

I took pictures of my New Year's Day century too, but I have to wait to have them developed.

Thanks, it was 30 miles or so. But it was in 2-3" of snow, on the grass
and sometimes mud underneath. I try not to ride the studded tires on the pavement if possible. I could have taken a road bike today, but I did not know until after I left the house.
Another rider passed me on the bridge, but I could not get a shot of him fast enough. Just one other rider today. Plenty of footprints but no other tire tracks.

Are you going to add your New Years pictures to your web site? Do you typically take pictures of your rides and put them on your site?

I described my adventure in the "Winter Centuries" post ... and it was an adventure slogging through slush and snow!!

I saw one other rider out there today too - he was all in cycling gear, helmet, and reflective gear ... which kind of surprised me because most of the cyclists you see here wear jeans and "normal" winter gear.

I do plan to add my photos to this site:

That's where most of the photos I take on my rides exist ... right now anyway.

I have to do some work on my www.machka.net site because it is badly out of date. If all goes well, I'll start working on it tomorrow ... I hope.

Thanks, I enjoy ride photos of all kinds. I have all my Yahoo albums set as private, I guess I can change them to public, have you ever changed an existing setting for an album?

I'm sure you can just go in and change them. I'm pretty sure I accidentally created most of mine as private, then realized I wanted to make them public!!

I like that site because I can upload photos quickly and easily, rather than doing some significant rearranging of my website. :)

Geez, I feel like an inadequate wuss.

I got my ride in today, all 14 miles of it.

And it was 43 degrees here.

At least it was muddy or I'd really feel I wimped out.
