Hi,
What would you say about a frame material that had competitive construction costs, had over twice
the strength of titanium, and nearly 3 times the resilience? If you're anything like me, you'd say MAMA! The stuff is called LiquidMetal, and it's amazing. I wonder if trek has heard of this stuff?
You should be able to get a frame under 2 pounds, and still be strong as a bull. The stuff is so lively, they will have to beef up some areas to
reduce springiness. I think I'm in love!

Interesting material this metallic glass, but im not sure you could fabricate a 2lbs frame at realistic price. The material is basically titanium, so it has the density of Ti. You may be able to cast tubes, but you still need to join them, unless you can cast a hollow structure with wall 1/2mm thick.
It may be useful for components such as cranks, axles, brakes etc.

These metallic glasses do fail and in a spectacular manner with a shower of sparks. They release enough energy to cause titanium to melt along the crack zone. Cool or what...
