im pretty sure theres already a thread for this. (i like vans for riding)
I had the etnies callicut and the sides literally ripped off from riding. I would recomend for grip probouly vans. I had a pair of old-schools that had great grip. But Etnies are geared more for stlyle then performance in my opinoin that is.
dont get new shoes just so you can bunny hop.....your ones right now are good for now...wait till your feet come through the sole.

as far as i know any sort of decent skate shoe works well. just make sure to get ones that are stitched around the outside instead of having the sole just glued on.

Emerica tilts. well priced. the favourite shoe of many skateboarders, and my favourite too. hold up well for skateboarding and skaters are really hard on thier shoes. should be good for bmx, they were for me.

I have vans, they work pretty well for riding... I have the 'dunbar' ones, they were like 50 bucks or so.
you and the rest of the bmx population :) not that its a bad thing...really good shoes
etnies wise.....reubens (tereann...sp?) defetnly held up through street riding and a LOT of digging in the mud for dirt

I wear any thing wen I bmx, Ive worn some old FUBU high top, some old nikey air force ones, all types of lugs and basketball shoes. Basketball shoes work just fine for grip, but after I got my first pair of vans ill never go back to any thing else. Check the Vans Alfonso, and Vans Ranks. My personal faverets. I once even used some Air Jordans, until I aired into a parked car one day. It wasnt pretty...for me or the car... :p
