Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This is bike we rebuilded lately. It is an old Mifa 1958. we pushed a new life for that bike :)
Whole bike was hand painted, chrome parts were polished and rechrome in order to make them look fresh and new!!!!!
I hope you enjoy the pictures!!!

Nice bike and nice restoration. It looks like there are holes in the back fender. Those were for skirt lacing to keep proper ladies skirts from getting caught in the wheel spokes. I have a couple of bikes like that and I used a nylon cord I bought at the craft store. You can get different colors to match your bike.
Hi
yes we know about the lacing :) and we are going to rebiuld it from original Mifa parts!
As sonn as we finished we will make some pics and put them here!!!!

That is a gorgeous old bike! I think anyone who rode it would feel incredibly elegant. You did a really nice job in fixing it up.
Its really great to see all that nice oponions!!!!
This is not first bike we've restorated but unfortunately we haven't any pics the others bikes :(
A saw bikes from tokyo bicycles fairs... Breathtakeing, outstanding and beautyful. I wonder how much time did the owners to have those bikes looking so good????
Nice work. How much is the bike worth after restoration? Do you plan to sell it?
after rostoration worth of this bike is about 1000euro. The rear fender lacing will be added...Unfortunately bike has his owner yet. It was a Christmas gift. Bike belongs to mother of son who make us restorated the bike. She rode this Mifa when she was 15 and this bike was a gift from her father!!!! Her's father haven't seen this bike for 30 years and this Christmas he did!!!!
It is an honor to make bikes like that!!!!!

That's a really sweet story to go along with the bike. I would guess that this lady's father was very impressed, too. And she has a thoughtful son to commission the restoration for her. The whole story makes me want to smile! :)
that's the story!!!!
I wish I saw her's fathers face :)
