Bicycle Mechanics - Gardin frame seatpost diameter
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hi, I have a Gardin road bike made around 1990 and I want to change the seatpost but I am not sure if the diameter is 27mm or 27.2mm. Does anybody know?
If you have a seatpost currently installed, the diameter should be stamped on it somewhere. Usually it's located below the minimum insertion mark.
If you don't have a seatpost that fits the frame, you'll have to check with your local bike shops to have the inside diameter of the seat tube measured. Most shops are equipped with tools to measure this accurately.
