Training & Nutrition - Fair-weather cyclist, getting back in shape

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I've been off the road since...what...late September I think. Yep, I'm strictly a fair-weather cyclist. And I gained almost 15 lbs. since I stopped riding. Since mid-December I've taken up the trainer again, and I'm back up to riding a full hour at a steady 90-100 rpm. Oh yeah, I've already lost 3 lbs. this week alone. My winter season is about half over and I plan to be ready!

Your not alone here. I stopped right after Seagull. Instead of being down 20 more lbs buy now, im back up 10. A couple of weeks ago I started riding 2x a week during lunch and will crank up the weekend rides this weekend now that there are no more holiday committments.
