Hey anyone have this happen...?
you're just having a good old time, out of the saddle, pumpin and breathing heavy, carving into the turns, going through the trail as fast as physics will allow.. ok more like my skills will allow, but let me continue...
and BAM!! you damn near head on with somone!!

So I got to thinking, Wife, kids, Mortgage, the necessity of being able to do physical labour to earn a living, and the good chance that this scenario will play out again.

So I grabbed my mini cow bell, and slid it onto my handle bars, now they will hear me I thought...

First time out, I pass riders heading the other way, and one stops, and is looking for my "dog" oh well, at least they can hear me coming... I guess I dont breath as heavily as I used to.

My wife and I have been riding with cowbells for about a year and they work great. It also seems to help us make friends with the local hikers that realy do not like us on the trail.

I currently don't have that problem. Most of the trails I ride are direction specific. :)
