I have!!! And yes, it was phenomenal!! It was definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I saw him just before he was supposedly retiring his solo career to join up with Tin Machine (late 80's I think).

They had this huge bank of SUPER bright lights behind the stage that they turned on at strategic times. These lights could light up a city they were so bright!

Because it was supposed to be a "retirement" concert he played ALL his classic hits!

The coolest thing I remember was that it ends.....the lights to TOTALLY DARK for about 3 or 4 entire minutes.....then he comes back for an encore. Encores are pretty normal right? How about 8 encores?

YES....HE DID 8 ENCORES!! All in all he played for like 3 1/2 I think.

I saw the most recent tour. It was sold out but I waited 'til the day before the show when they release all the comp tickets that went unused and we got seats in the 17th row center section at eye level with Bowie, great sound and nothing obstructing the view, probably close to the best seats in the house. Bowie's set was great, he played songs from throughout his career with a great backing band, but I could have done without the Polyphonic Spree Orchestra, who opened. A couple of weeks later they cancelled the rest of the tour due to Bowie's heart troubles.
