If you ride a fox, you will know why no one else compares. Plus the Talas is coming out soon.

FOX is the best, and I have ridden every fork on the market.

I have found Fox and Marzocchi to be the best forks out there. If you want to run a 20mm axel you will have to get a Marzocchi. If not then either one will work great. Stay away from RockShox unless you need a very light fork. They do not handle abuse as well.

I like Marzocchi. They are proven to be a standard. As for fox I have issues with their support. I wrote a simple email to each fork company to find out their thoughts on their products for my riding and size. The only company not to respond was fox. That says a lot for them and their service. I refuse to buy a fox now because of it.

I am between the Z1 and the Talas 125mm. However I read great reports about the Talas, I still do not 100% believe that Fox can break physics and make an airsprung fork working as sensible as an coil-sprung fork. What do you guys think. Anybody rode a Talas yet?

I haven't ridden one yet, but being a Clydesdale rider, I tend to shierk (sp?) away from air sprung suspension.

My preference is a Z.1 Freeride with the 20mm thru-axel. I also would consider the DJ.1 or the Shiver SC.

Best value would be Z5. CHEAP and quality, i wish they still made it, but u can find them asily, everyone used them back in the day. I still ride mine hard, and they are strong. If your not interested in price, go FOX.

I think you'd be suprised about the Fox TALAS, even though it's air-sprung and has that feature i think you'd be pleasently suprised at how much it can take. And if you're worried about having an air-sprung fork save some cash and get the Vanilla which is coil sprung and travel adjustable using spacers

You wont be disapointed with teh Z1. THe QR20 isnt THAT noticbable, and u wont know the differnce if you havent used it before.

Urban...I notice a massive difference between the 20mm and regular dropout. It is quite signifigant in the control gained...

Yeah Mael, but it's like having sex. You really don't know how good it is until you've had it. Once you have, you wont go back to the way it was before. (solo sex, if you know what I mean!)
