The Appalachian Classic MTB race & Festival will have some Family Fun Rides this year - June 17th, at the Calhoun County Park near Grantsville, WV (suggested donation to support the park, $10). As this is a new event for us, I'm wondering what the ride length should be.

We are thinking on having one road ride (paved roads) at 30-40 miles, one at @25 miles which would be paved road with gravel/dirt for about 5 miles.

Any comments?

See if you can put in a short, say 8-10 miles, for families with younger kids.

We run a regular club family ride of 7m each way with a long stop at a well-known local tourist spot which has a decent (but dear) cafe before the return leg. the youngest riders are usually about 7/8 and may need a bit of a push up the two short hills.
