Well it is kind of important, try reading the posts that are missing punctuation. Combined with the bad spelling i think you'd be better off reading egyption.

dude, you started a "grammar" thread in a bike forum?
My god, with spelling like that i would also want people to be lax about it. Much has been said on this topic and why 'decent' (not the same as perfect mind you) spelling is actually a good idea on these boards. I am not going to repeat that stuff here but if anyone is interested:
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=38266&highlight=search+spelling+perfect
I think a compelling case is made (by mods and others) to employ decent spelling as a courtesy and for practical reasons. If you sound or spell like a 12 year old or someone with severe learning disabilities (when you don't actually have them) or are just plain too lazy to mind spelling,.. well, don't be suprised that some people may treat you a certain way or look at you in an unfavourable light.
when you signed up you agreed to it.
if you dont like it dont post.

Isn't this what you really meant to say?
Ok cmoe on pploee cnat we just psot wtih out smoe hekood on phoicns wabanne gieouns fliman erevy body cuss the way tehy slepl olienn. If you dnot hvae eny tinhg ulfusel to say aoubt the tipoc dnot psot in it. Thats just my ten cte..ns.
Dude, It's just easier to read when it's spelled right, and puncutaltion is used. The only whay we communicate is by typing. So is is too much to ask for you peeps to do their best. Mis-spelled words is one thing, but typing like an idiot is tough to read sometimes. Also, probably half the homies on here are well over 20. We're just asking for a little effort is all.

If you can't be bothered to use proper spelling and grammar, then don't post. It's one of the many forum rules you agreed to.

What im trying to say here is if you dont have anything to say about a topic, then dont post how people cant spell, because it doesnt help anybody, and as long as your not speaking hungarian or something, dont flame people...Thats all folks, and to FMFBMX any time dude. :D
And all we're saying is that if you can't take the time to spell out words, and spell them properly, don't post. Forum rules, like 'em or leave.

Just ban the kid ex, he is starting to get annoying. First how he is trying to show off because he can do a norrie stand and now this, please just ban him.
We don't ban members because they ride better than you. :D

Oh ya man, them norrie stands are killer. :)
Seriously though. We seem to go through this with all new members in BMX. He'll either come around, or he'll leave.
+1 to last post.
I am just glad people take the time out to give (constructive) criticism about spelling in all of these boards, it is one of the many things that keeps these boards of a high caliber or at very least legible as opposed to many others.
I'll be the first to admit that as a moderator, I'm much easier on the bad spellers than I was before I was a mod. Then I would simply ridicule the worst spellers. I'm a bit nicer now. I majored in English Literature before I got my degree in Art.

It's not like I don't have a job. And look at the photo under my name. I can still afford a few toys.

This forum does have more intelligible posts overall, compared to at least one other that I participate in. I haven't seen any other forums with the amount of flaming based on grammar and spelling and failure to use the search function as this one, though... but I've been guilty of both sides of that issue anyways.

Did I spell that right?
Nope. (http://www.google.com/search?q=define%3Apliable)
To check spellings, search google for "define:*wordhere*". If no matches come up, chances are you either made up the word or misspelled it. But who cares anyway, I only answered 'cause you asked.
:p
Yess excellent, bending and turning him to our will.. But can it be done?
Strained breathing yet dark deep voice answers "He shall join us or die". ;)
Na seriously glad you take it so well and that you also enjoy these boards so much. 'Most impressive'.
that was one of my vocab words...i think

But when you signed up, you agreed to do your best when it comes to spelling and grammar. So we can only assume that either you can't follow basic fourm guidelines, or you are unfamiliar with basic English spelling and grammar.

Surely pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes is useful?
I mean, people make a living out of that ****.

Dear.God.
Dear.God.
Several of us around here take a little pride in that this forum is kept respectable and clean. If anyone feels the need to post profanity, then there are other forums that allow it. I am gald to have a moderated forum that I can let my 11 year old son see. No one needs to use foul language to make a point. Well, perhaps the uneducated do. Everyone on here loves BMX and responding to threads about it. Debate is good and heathy, and some guys love to bust on each other. But it's all done with repect to each other in most cases. And with than in mind we hope newcomers will offer us the same respect by not using foul language. Not alot to ask.

As a reminder, it's three strikes and you're out. Don't try to post profanity, and you won't rack up any warnings. After you're banned and you come back, does it start over? If you go enough months do any strikes merely go away? I got a warning from Koffee because I posted while drunk like some numbskull, and I want my strike to go away. Which strike is "mooncake" on now, and does it carry over from when he was "sincitycycler?"
:(
Kris, I can't comment on another member. If you get banned yourself, it may only be for a few days, a week, or even a month if you're really a problem. When you come back, you don't get 3 more strikes, we just look at banning you longer.
It's a simple thing to follow the rules. If someone repeatedly breaks them, then maybe Bikeforums isn't for them, if you get my hint.

Expatriate, after you move to utah you should drive down to NM and ride some of the trails here. Not the greatest, but not bad. And there's a BMX track, even though it's not very nice.
If I get my way, I'll have a small track and some jumps in my backyard.
