Wow. I went to a Texas trail ranch (Warda) to continue training for an upcoming 12-hour MTB race, planning to do five laps. Upon arriving, I see a stream of riders with numbers pouring out of the entrance, and heading up the road - fast.
Come to find out a race is taking place - a lap of the ranch; a road ride to another local ranch; a lap there; then back on the road. All in all, about 100 miles of riding, all on MTB.
My 51 miles of singletrack for the day was HALF of their ride. Props to you, boys!
