My wife and I are looking for our first tandem. We don't want an entry-level bike, we would outgrow it rapidly. So we're looking at mid-point and higher bikes. One of the things that intrigues us is Independent Coasting, as offered by DaVinci tandems. Can any one discuss the benfits and/or failings of this system? Have any of you gone from in-phase pedaling to the Independent Coasting? Can you tell me about your reasons and likes of that system? Dislikes? Have any of you gone the other way? Why? Thanks, Dave and Jodee
