Fifty Plus (50+) - One last Polar Bear Picture

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Sorry to bother you with another picture but this is a pretty unique shot. This is a picture of me (I'm in the yellow and white jersey) on my brother's wheel and he didn't even realize I was right behind him. The group had broken up from traffic at an intersection and I had to chase pretty hard to get back on (you can see some of the others back down the road).
He took a random shot by holding his digital camera over his head, pointing it behind him and didn't know what he would get. It's not often you get to see yourself riding along from that angle.

How recognizable...that half-smile/half-grimace after chasing and catching the group. Hard to think that's a random, over-the-head shot. Well done. Nice to have a picture to tie to your posts!

That is a great shot. At first I thought it might be some sort of helmet cam -- but holding the camera over your head works!
Look at that -- sunshine, blue skies and no traffic on the roads. You guys hit the trifecta.

JPPE,
Great pic! You look to be in top form, but where are those imfamous Western NC mountains? Looks as if you're in the low country. I wish I could have joined you!

(Too much snow, too much snow, too much snow--- even blowing all this hot air doesn't melt any!)
So where are the Polar bears?
As warm as it was I'm sure the Polar Bears were probably in a freezer somewhere!!
PastorBob-as you know we have some hills with some nice grades (8-11%) but none of them are over 1 mile long. For this time of the year that is nice!! The mountains with the longer climbs will be calling in about 2 months......that is plenty soon enough for me!!
I have a sister-in-law that has moved to Asheville that I can now go spend weekends with and do training rides. Beautiful country and terrific training areas up that way for sure.

That's a good picture JPPE. You should make a print of that.
