I currently ride a TCR2 but have hung it up for the winter to protect my cherished machine. My winter bike is my old Raleigh Competition which feels absolutley awful after riding the Giant. I am considering buying a cheaper Giant such as the OCR 3T 2003 to get a better and safer ride. However I would want to fit Mudguards and was wondering if this was feasible on this frame.
Opinions please ?

Kieth,
The problem with some road bikes is that there just isn't much extra space to allow clearance for mudguars/fenders. I was looking at nashbar.com a couple of days ago. They have several models of Zefal fenders, one of which says it is for road bikes. You might do best asking at the shop where you may by the bike. You probably have access to more options there than we do here.

Just for grins I checked probikekit.com. They have a set of clip on mudguards for roadbikes on sale for GBP 5.00. The description says they will fit "close road bike geometry".
Regards,
Raymond

There are tons of fenders out there and all are different. Simply buy and hope they fit. Basicly trial and error.

I was looking at Giant bikes recently, but they just didn't seem feasible for riding on the street. And MAN are they SLOW!!!! not to mention very difficult to get replacement parts for. Here's the one I was looking at......

Nah, just not for me.
