i was wondering if anyone has tried the wireless system from Mavic on a tandem. If so, is the signal strength great enough to transmit to the capt. and stoker computers? If not, could one put a system on the rear wheel? Does the cadence register with both computers?

We currently use two cateye computers to monitor speed, cadence etc. It works fine, but I am not a big fan of wires and sensors mounted on the front fork and such.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

You probably can't use a Wintech on the rear wheel because the transmitter is built into the skewer and I doubt you could modify it for the extra width of the rear hub.

I've never thought of trying two on a tandem. The transmission length is longer than most but I sort of doubt it would work. The orientation of the skewer to the receiver is semi-critical the further away that it is.

Have you considered the Cateye Double Wireless on the back? We have one on the back of our tandem and after it is programed, it works well.
