There is a lot of discrepancy among riders about what they do while riding. We put in about 7.5 hours this weekend. Avg probably 19 mph all things considered. Talked for about 20 minutes all told. NO radios, no computers, no Ipods, no phones, etc... And we loved it. Wind in the hair, birds in the sky, pavement flying by.

I went skiing on Saturday and rode my single on Sunday. Stoker was not up to it...

i look forward to the weekend ride. actually - i think about it all week. i typically want to go out for at least a fews hours and to a destination i normally don't get to during the week or explore a new area.

I'm in a terrible slump right now, trying to get over the flu. I'm just sitting around looking at pictures of bikes, reading biking magazines, and dreaming about riding soon.

Normally manage a 3 to 4 hour ride on a Sunday, but last autumn got into night riding. Bit of a rush to get back from work and get out, and not many cafes open for a break, but fantastic to get up on the hills away from the traffic and grind up those trails.
Today is our 23rd day of rain ! Got in a solo 30 mile ride in on Sunday, blustery, rainy and 38 degrees - my partner stayed at home by the fire while I did hills. Need new riding gear I am wetter inside my jacket than outside. Got in a 100 miles last week similar weather - proud of myself - dreaming of better weather and tandem rides and the Northwest Tandenm Rally in early July in Oregon.
