I want to buy a road bike for my boyfriend for christmas, but there are so many to choose from, and I am totally clueless about bikes!!! Can someone recommend a certain type of bike... that won't put me way over budget (less then 2,000)
Thanks

Best bet is to get some hints from him, or take him down to the bike shop (LBS). It's important to get him a good fit, as well as something he likes, or he won't ride it. Lucky guy!:D

Give him a gift certificate or such.Make sure it is not good at the liquor store or Pleasure Palace.Hard enough buying the right bike for ones self.Nearly impossible for someone else unless they have some specific preference you can dig out, and know their correct size.

wow! wish I had a girlfriend that would do that... geez.. Try and get some hints on a specific model and then go to the bike shop and pay for one and then for his b-day give him something from the bike shop and get fitted on that one.. Is my best guess.
