Any tips on a vacation to follow the Tour?
I've got 10 days and a moderate amount of cash. Thinking of renting a car or just hitting the train. Probably try to camp as much as possible and hit hotels when needed for extra rest and a shower.

Thanks - olaf

I did find this useful website for anyone else who is interested.

What a rip!! They left out the Mercury Team, Saeco, and Pantani out of the TDF. To add insult to injury they include a couple of Div. II teams. What's up with that? Are they trying to dilute the competition?

I'll follow the Tour just to see how Lance does but I think the Giro D'Italia will be better.

Everyone should e-mail the Societe' and request that Mercury and Coast be included in the selection and Bigmat-Auber 93 and La Francaise de Juex be dropped. Just go the the official Tour web site at http://www.letour.fr/ and click on "contact". I mean how could they include the 30th and 35th ranked teams and not include Mercury (ranked 10th) and Coast (ranked 27th but includes two perrennial top ten finishers, Zulle and Escartin)?????? Let's shut down there server with e-mails! And Allez Lance, allez!
