Anyone used the new Saris B.A.T. 999 Hitch mount carrier? (or even the older 998)

They look pretty sturdy and are recomended in my jeep forums. nice price too (125)

I have been using mine now for about six months and have never had any problems with it.

It has been sturdy, though it does rock a bid in the reciever.

I got mine for $133 on Ebay for the 3 bike model, an extra BAT rack for a 4th bike, the thick security cable, light, and shipping.

I would buy it again.

All that for $133? new? did you buy it form someone who had an ebay store or just an individual?

the ones on there now are $124 just for the carrier ... none of the goodies.

It was brand new - never opened. The "goodies" arrived in a second box, but they were all in their original packing.

I purchased it from an individual, but he had a BUNCH of positive feedback and no negative.

Considering the rack withouth the extras would have cost 179 + tax at my LBS, I was overjoyed!

Everything arrived perfectly - except UPS kind of tore up the box.
The contents were fine though)

soudns like you got a deal.

i was bidding for one on e-bay (just the carrier for $125) and some bastard out bid me with 5 minutes left. ::sigh::

it's ok tho, the seller has a web page and i can get it there for the same.
