I'm thinking about dragging myself to the theater for this one, but I'd like to hear some honest comments about it before I fork over a mint. Anybody care to share? Thanks...

I would like to know too. I love Tarrantino....but it looks like a "typical slasher" movie to me which doesn't appeal. Is it "typical slasher", or is it a good Tarrantino movie?

Very topical !!
I just got off of the fone with my Son who saw it last nite.
He said it was absolutely, the MOST disgusting, lurid, bloody, nasty movie
he has EVER seen. The thing that makes this endorsment substantial is because
he is a fan of that genre.....he will see slasher flix two or three times, knows
them all and really gets into them. He says he wishes he didnt see this one once
and will not go again. Wow !!
If you see it, can you post your opinion ???

Big disappointment – with Quentin Tarantino’s name attached (“presented by” – what does that mean anyway? – he’s also executive producer) I had high hopes. I would have hoped that Tarantino, after reading this script, would have sent them back to fix it until they got it right. Didn’t happen.
I knew it was going to be a slasher film of sorts but I was hoping for some intelligent, funny dialog -- I expect that from Tarantino. It’s not quite a typical slasher – there’s not that much on-screen torture and mayhem – compared to, say, Saw II.
It’s basically a story of two frat-boy types (super horny, dumb dialog – right out of central casting) who go to Slovakia after hearing it’s a good place to score hot chicks and then get roped into some nasty masochistic stuff. The two actresses – sisters I believe – who play “black widows” are very hot.
It’s #1 at the box office and exceeding expectations so they must have done something right.

Yeah....I was just checking it out on IMDB too....and realize the Tarantino BS they pulled. He's only the producer. They keep advertising it as "a movie by Quentin Tarantino" when he doesn't direct it. He's only the producer.
Especially after reading Lem and FastFreddy, I think I'll hold off as its not going to really be a Q.T. movie. It sounds like a very typical no talent slasher movie.
my freind saw it on on opening night. said he could not get this one scene out of his head since.
in one part he said they cut a guys feet off at the ankles. . .and another scene were you see one of them with a surgucal tool, and his hands are just shaking as he is holding it.
i am not a fan of these movies at all, although i like Quentin.

One of eight producers of various types. I still want to know what “presented by” means – is it just a marketing ploy?
