Winter Cycling - Inslulated bicycle seat?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Remember those styrofoam bead filled seat cushions that folks used for deer hunting and ice fishing and Packer Games?
I wonder if you couldn't cob something like that together for a bicycle seat to make bicycle riding warmer and more comfortable.
On cold days, my saddle never seems to warm up. Anybody ever heard of a warm bicycle seat?

My butt is the last thing I have to worry about keeping warm when riding. Move them legs a bit faster Mike...get some butt friction action going and that saddle will warm right up! ;)
Get some corduroy shorts and start a fire.

I can't say I've ever noticed that my butt was cold while riding. Toes and fingers and nose and ears, yes.
I don't want my saddle getting bigger. I think it would rub if it were any bigger.
I found a picture of this but I'm not sure my LBS carries it:

OK, chipcom, I'll try it. If you see a bicyclist with sparks flying from the saddle, it is me.

Safety first - don't fart! I accept no liability for charred rubber or toasted buns!

Now THAT is wisdom you won't get from reading books.
