Hello all,

Just wondering what people have done for rack systems on the Road Tandem. Both front and rear look very tight with the disk brakes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

I have the Blackburn Mountain Rack. I just needed to separate the supports a little (since the dropouts are wider than 1/2 bikes) and it fit.

A rack that is mounted on the seatpost should work for all but heavy loaded touring. Most of these rack will hold 25 lbs.

Same here with Tubus Logo rear rack on C'dale RT. It had to be mounted with extralong bolts through a piece of aluminium tubing. Same rack on another disc brake tandem:

Mounted a Blackburn Expedition rack, but had to use different spacers on the sides along with some very slight bending of the tubes to bypass the disc brake mounts. Also had to do some slight bending of the top brackets. Don't have disc brakes on my RT1000, but it is on the wish-list. Rack works great!
