Hey all!

Just wanted to say hi from the South Bay Area, CA. I just got back into cycling after taking too much time off due to working too hard and not enjoying life enough. Now I have a job that keeps normal hours (Thank god the dot-com boom is over!) and I am bike-commuting 30 miles round-trip.

I've been losing weight, and every day the commute gets a bit easier and faster, so I must be doing something right. ;)

I've been lurking on the forums for awhile, and there is a wealth of information that I have already found incredibly useful. Thanks so much!

You're right about cycling and sailing! I'll be on the Bay this weekend. Brickyard Cove is our base of operations. . . after driving down from Sacramento.

Enjoy!

I have to say they are best two things I've done. If you want to have a nice leasurely day, enjoy the sights and smells of your surroundings either day or night without the drone of some sort of engine Cycling and Sailing can do that. Additionally, if you want an adrenaline rush caused by the elements and/or speed cycling and sailing can give you that in a big way.

I sail out of Berkeley Marina and play in San Francisco Bay's infamous "Slot". 20-30kt winds every day in the summer! LET knows what I'm talkin about :D
