Foo - "java runtime cannot be loaded"

hey so i just BOUGHT a copy of acquisition for a mac and as soon as i launch it i get the above message. it says it's a problem with the OS rather than the app. what gives? what do i do?
mods: i was trying to download fixed-gear related files so it's relevant. pls don't kill this thread

Eddie: not familiar with the app or the Mac O/S but... Do you have Java installed in the machine? Go to www.java.com and download the latest version, re-start you machine and try the app again.

You may need MS Virtual Machine for Java and Java to run the appl you're trying to run.
Uninstall Java (if it installed) and load VM.
Load this (http://www.wildtangent.com/install/jvm/msjavx86_3805.exe) first.
Load this (http://www.lavorincasa.it/cadcasa/msjavx86.exe) second.
Then load Java.
