Do you differentiate between riding days and rest days in protein consumption as well?
Using fitday I have found I generally consume about 120 grams of protein a day, well over the reccomended level but not body builder levels. I certainly don't have too much muscle, and I am not trying to lose weight, quite the opposite. Just curious what the range is around here.

You know that aerobic athletes need more protein than body builders, right? Aerobic exercise eats muscle protein.

I get 80-110 grams per day, and I weigh 61 kg.

Amen- too many endurance athletes deemphasize the importance of increasing their protein intake. But hours of endurance training over the course of a week will break down muscle. Protein is very important, as well as carbs.

Just make sure that your protein is coming from good sources. Either the right combinations of plant sources or low saturated fat meat sources. :)

I'm a strong believer in eggs...gold standard for protein. I've heard Arnold say that at the peak of his bodybuilding career he was consuming close to 3 dozen a day (in addition to 3-5 lbs of beef and 100 cod liver oil tablets). Some people might think eggs have too much fat....but if you're active it shouldnt be a big problem...

So whats a good percentage of carbs/protein/fat ?

Im trying to eat balanced, low in fat if i veer any direction. I cycle 50k a day (commute) and have been trying to track what i eat on fitday. But every source you read has a different suggestion. Im not an athelete in training, just an old man trying to live till retirement :)
