Road Cycling - My New Orbea!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Maybe some of you have put together my 1001 posts, here, dealing with aspects of road bikes. That's correct, I got a new road frame from Orbea! Thanks for all the help with the new technology questions! :)
The XLR8R Carbon in 2003 Team Euskaltel colors just arrived today via FedEx. It's part of a nice sponsorship deal I got with the company for myself. It's so sweet!
I probably will not build it up until the spring, though. I'm planning on riding my current frame throughout the winter.
Here's a picture of the frame, with an exception of a fork. I got a Reynold Ouzo Pro Integrated (also sweet!).

I'll look for the bike in velonews next season ;)
Velo, was it a custom fit or stock frame?

Stock. A 54cm compact frame. The measurements are the same as if I would have gotten a custom, though. Just perfect!
Joe, we'll have to wait and see!

If I can put a plug in for them already, their customer service was excellent . They were very prompt in responding to emails, very helpful, and very polite. Overall, a great experience.

Awesome looking frame. How will you ever wait until Spring to build and ride it?????? ;)
It's a beauty. Coincidentally, I spent some time looking at this frame at the Bike Motion Plus show in Utrecht this afternoon. One of about four that really caught my eye. Good luck with it!
Cheers...Gary

That's what I'm worried about! I'm dying to ride it already! :(
Velo,
What componentry are you gonna hang on that thang?
(I think it needs campy, it speaks pure racing to me!).
Very nice ride.
We expect great things out of you next season,
and riding the Orbea will surely help.
And yes, we will see you in VeloNews.

I'm going to put on a Shimano Dura Ace and Ultegra mix of components. Sorry, no Campy, I've been faithful to Shimano from day one. Also, I don't have the cash to put full Dura Ace on. It'll still be great, though! :)
