Has anyone had luck running 9 speed campy ergo with a SRAM 9 speed cassette (11 or 12-32)? Thanks

You probably know that ergo works pretty well with Shimano cog spacing as long as a Campagnolo rear derailleur is used, OR shiftmate. The large tooth difference in the cassettes you're mentioning will at least require a long cage derailleur but I think may exceed the capacity of the current crop of long cage Campy RDs. You could try to run a Shimano ATB RD and the model of Shiftmate that matches ergo cable pull with Shimano cog to cog der swing. I'd try it but I keep thinking I need less total tooth difference, not more. This could be an interesting setup for use with single chainring setups however. Good Luck! Please report back on the cyclocross forum. FYI I ride one rather similar bike to yours, a 2001 Bianchi Reparto Corse SL w/Centaur.
You can combine a Campy 10-speed Ergopower with 9 speed Shimano/SRAM cassette.

The SL is definetely a sweet ride! As for the cross question, my plans are to go w/ a single front and a MTB rear cassette. I have a medium cage Centaur RD on it now and I'm hoping it will make the throw to the 32 large cog. Thanks!
