i'm looking to get some non-standard color deep v's. i know the best places are to call yojimbo's or trackstar (neither of which i am remotely near) but before i start calling around, i was wondering what a set (just rims) is probably going to cost? i've found sites who have the black v's for about $50 apiece, but i'm looking more white, lime, pink, that route. is the price going to go up with the varying commonality of color?

well, marcus has just about every color in-stock (some NMS some MS). Not sure on the price though
colors I know he has:
red, brown, gold, silver, black, lime, purple, blue, yellow, white
cal for which colors are either MS or NMS and the price. I would guess anywhere from $120 - $140 for the rims??? Call to be sure.

hahaha that's what you think.... by opening the borders loosely that we control our tex-mex attitude is overtaking the country...
As a side note. When i was in Clermont-ferrand france at a film festival they asked where i was from and i said U.S... They snickered... then i said " well texas" and they said.... " Oh your from Texas, not the U.s."
They bought me dinner at the texas embassy...

HAHA I hate cowboys. I don't live in Texas. I live in Austin ;)
I just read a great study that showed that the gross product of Texas moves inversely with that of the rest of the country. When Texas is doing well, the rest of us are suffering, and vice versa. Moral of the story: Mess with Texas as much as you can...make all the rest of us better off.

texas was separate from the united states at one point, as a sovereign entity if i remember right. its governing body never passed any legislation to join the u.s., but the u.s. added texas anyway. i suppose they went along for military reasons (i mean, the civil war was several states seceding and they still lost...now just one, even texas would have less chance), but i don't know. i do know that there are those who argue that this means texas isn't part of the u.s., but a separate country.
i don't know the story all that well, maybe a texan could help.

Texas has been a portion of several nations, including France, Spain, Mexico, USA & CSA. In 1836 the region declared itself independant of Mexico & existed as a nation until 1845.

Find a shop that deals with/can get velocity, have them order the rims for you.
Any shop that deals with velocity can order any rim that velocity has on their website, and more special and limited edition rims.
what study was that?
I'm not sure...I read about a dozen economics journals...will try to find out when I get to a computer with jstor access.

"We sell to stocking distributors and bike shops only. Please contact us via phone, fax, or e-mail and we will be happy to answer any question that you have, or direct you where to order."
Using the Manufacturer's website often produces the best results. Velocity has great service - I should have mentioned that from the start.
