more or less. given a variety of sicknesses, these colors seem to be the classic ones. i just sent my frame off to be powdercoated with tiger dry lac (whatever that means) 1033. http://www.tigerdrylac.com/fileadmin/USA/Template/images/color_ral.jpg
third one in, top row. and am curious to about how that is going to look. if people would be willing to post pictures of their poop colored bikes, i'd be grateful. (plus it'll be fun to read the comments people in here post. i think using the word "poop" is gonna be a trigger for hilarity.) we'll see what happens.

thanks again

the steamroller is a poop colored bike. that looks orange to me... maybe baby poop?

yeah, i think of that as just orange. nice, though. i'd rather have a bright safety orange, but orange i general...cool.

i was going for something between burnt orange and light brown. that one seemed to fit the bill the nicest. kind of having second thoughts, thought i'd come here for validation. at any rate, at least the decals will match the bar tape. (it's a theme. i'm not that anal retentative, or whatever)

hey Jason, how much is that costing you, and where are you getting it done?

humancongereel

eh, well. i like it, so there's validation for you. just cuz i'd get something brighter shouldn't have any bearing on what you get. it's a fine color, dude. go for it.

it's gonna be $190 for the color and a clear. getting done in chicago via shop in milwaukee. i'm not out to build a blingin' bike. i want it to be solid. understated. the parts speak for the build. i want it to catch a vague eye, then shock when they get up close. it's the attention to detail, mang.

yeah, yeah...i like the idea of a nice bike with nice parts that even someone who knows nothing about bikes can appreciate. like the baby blue bike around here with baby blue tires and yellow rims i see around town sometimes...you have to see it, it's purty.

but yeah, that's not a blinging color, so it sounds like what you want nicely. it might catch eyes vaguely, as you put it. it won't scream, or go ignored, that's certain.

suggestion: get yellow spoltches about 1 cm across, for the "corn" effect.

freewheel on hayes sf have 1 pair of brown deep v rims.

xthugmurderx

nope. open pros. i'm not a fan of v's. or velocity for that matter. (though i do run a v in the back/aerohead in the front currently, and haven't had much trouble.)

before south park became the cultural median, these were known as earth tones, or autumn colors.

so it goes.

sure sure, but that's no fun.

Sorry, I can only come close w/ the earthtones. The handlebars are totally poop, though. I just really like this bike.Clean, yet poopy. Yin and yang.I know the deep v's will turn you off, though.

no, i like that bike, jason. it's nice. classy and understated. and i don't deep v's, just not for me. (and if my eyes don't decieve me, i dislike the cranks, if they are the new campy records, moreso than the rims. them rims is blingin')

It looks to be a barenuckle/Nessuno/EAI frame, but I dunno for sure.

Jason- glad ya like it. I used to prefer the older Campy cranks, but the new ones have since grown on me..alot .Quality. I held some in my hand and my opinion changed.
Oh, and check the seat cover....is that a pair of depends? Just tryin' to stay on topic here.

I'm going to go with a no on that one. if my memory serves, the eai's are threadless. but i don't know what it is, for sure. and did i ever meet you before i moved? i don't think i ever had the pleasure.

that all makes sence... a ton of sence.

since you are poking some at me...it makes sense. not sence. i'm actually not sure what sence is, for that matter.

-jason

(i think that the deep v's are heavier than they have to be, and also overkill. aeroheads, on the otherhand, i'm a fan of. no beef in that corner.)

That's what I get for doing this from a phone.
I recommend a steel rim in the rain. rust is brown.

Hey Jason,
The old Steamrollers came in a great reddish brown color that sounds pretty much like what you're describing.

Like this:

I've NEVER in my life seen poop the color of 1033.
That looks pretty much like pure orange to me.
