Just bought a "real" track frame and carbon fork. I cant decide whether to run my extra road components or spring for "affordable" track specific components. This will be 80% fixed training and 20% track racing due to the fact we dont have a track in AZ! Thanks for any input.

If you have "extra" components, might as well run them. If/when you find that they are holding you back, you can then buy the best part to take care of that difficiency.

You might also find out you want different length cranks then on your road bike, if you bought a track specific version right now which matches your road stuff, you will then have extra track components when you buy the new stuff.

Thanks ZappCatt-My current fixie(a combination of old road frame and road parts) has cranks 2.5 shorter than my road bikes and spins well. I know I want 170's but it looks like my options are limited and more expensive. Heck, I could get carbon road cranks for what they want for alum track cranks! Any website recommends for "good" pricing on track equip?
