Hi all.

I am Greek as you all know by now and i have had my first ride in the Uk today. In Castel Coch trails in Cardiff Wales. Boyyyyy it was my first experience with mud, leaves, roots etc. We did steep uphill and then 30-40 degree downhills through thick forestry and some tight and fast singletracks. It seemed too difficult and too technical to me as i was used only in very dry rocky-sandy conditions. I slided all the time and got 3 falls ....the funny part is that i was at 0 (zero) speed while falling, trying to get on the bike i slides my feet on the mud and falled. I was lucky cause with this falls there is no damage to the bike nor to me. It was a great experience but i am a total wreck now...as i cycled for 5 hours straight after an 8 year total absence from the sport scene, plus the bike is full on mud now....i ll just have to wait for the mud to get dry and then clean in off....right?

 Feels good to be back in business!!!

Congrats on the ride. Funny thing about 90% of all my falls. They are always at 0 or slow speeds. As for cleaning mud I spray the frame with a hose putting a cloth around the bb and headset. Then I clean the chain, bb and headset (depending on how wet I may regrease) and I high power spray the mud on the tires. :)
