What are my options for good rims?

I have a set of Campy C-Record hubs and I want to build up a clincher wheelset for my Cinelli. The rims have to be not machined for brakes and not Deep-V's.

What are my options?

I think you are limited to NOS here. Check this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MAVIC-MA-40-Rims-NOS-32-hole-700c-clincher-MA40_W0QQitemZ7210415105QQcategoryZ56197QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Probably machined, but worth considering, Ambrosios. There is a pair on Ebay presently as well. I dont know what model, but I saw a really nice titanium finished pair of Mavics last week, non-machined. The owner told me they are no longer made however. They may have been tubulars though. Also, look for Fiammes

you could look into 700c disc brake rims for cyclocross bikes. or look at anodized al rims - alot of those won't have machined sidewalls and still could come in colors if that's what you were looking for (basicly go to a good bike shop that's got a ton of rims and ask).

OH! also - look at ceramic rims. I've got a pair of Mavic ceramic clinchers (36h touring rims) that rock hard and are super light (and i can bike through all the snow i want with them and they're ceramic)

If you don't mind choosing between black and black, there are lots of inexpensive disk-brake-only 29er rims coming on teh market...

Mavic still offers the open pro CD. After the sidewalls are machined the rim is hard anodized leaving everything gun-metal grey. Good rim, looks nice, the only downside is that the hard anodizing usually makes rims more likely to crack around the eyelets.

got a pair of cxp 12's NOS in 28h.
Absntr also runs these with his D'ace's.
They're matte silver, non-machined, semi-aero profile, clincher.

Oi! Found the picture he posted of them!
*Hope you don't mind me using your photo Absntr!*

Velocity Aeros or Velocity Fusions
lower profile on the Aero than the Fusion, and both are lower profile that the Deep V.

Also, if you can score a set of old Campy Lambda/Ypsilon rims (pm me Raygunner - I have a 32h set and I am looking to move them). They are aero style rims, but not as deep as Deep Vs

I know a guy who rides them. He likes them, but they're WIDE, so not suitable for skinny tires. The Alex DV15 are a box-section (all black), and are narrower, if you can find them - but I think they're machined before anodizing, so if a machined side is going to bug you even if it's black, then no dv15 for you!

Those featherweight, polished, saavedras that dolface and (I think?) Dubteka both have are really nice looking rims.

Almost all of Velocity's rims are available non-machined and colored (both anodized and powder coated)... not just the Deep V.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Sun M13II rims. They're double-wall, single-eyelet, sleeved non-machined construction. Nice-looking rims. There's a "satin" finish version, just buffed aluminum, and a highly-polished version. They're on eBay all the time, and QBP has them also. Comparable to the Mavic MA3, but without machined sidewalls, slightly diff construction. Here's an example (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SUN-M13II-ROAD-BIKE-RIMS-Polished-32hole_W0QQitemZ7211441070QQcategoryZ36144QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) on eBay.

I like the Velocity Aeros (http://www.downtube.com/catalog/images/Aero_rim.gif) . I saw a set in black and am tempted to strip the anodizing and polish 'em up.
