Mountain Biking - Mtb slang

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A lot of slang comes from bmx or winter sports. Like freeriding. Almost a direct steel from skiing. :)

without a doubt, my favorite is "bolt-on", the MTBer slang for breast implants...think about it...you bolt on new deraillers to make your bike better, women bolt-on new boobs to make thier boobs better
ITS PERFECT!

Ouch..never heard it used in that context before. Usually only with violence. But man that would suck. Luckily never had t happen to myself

Here's two of my favorites (in honor of our beloved friend:rolleyes: - see "the Enemy" thread):
auger v. to involuntarily take samples of the local geology, usually with one's face, during a crash.
bring home a Christmas tree v. to ride (or crash) through dense bushes, so leaves and branches are hanging from your bike and helmet.
