My needs for each one are Dirt Jumping and Freeriding.

Fox Vanilla 130R or Rockshox pike? How much are they and how Plush are they?

With the RockShox Pike, what is the differences between the 454,426,409?

Thank-you

I like the Fox but I've had trouble keeping the seals from leaking.

I would go with the Pike. Tried one out the other day, amazingly good.

The numbers with the Pike series:

454- Upgrade: Over 426: Hollow crown and aluminum steerer

426- Upgrade: Over 409: External Floodgate

409 is the lower end one.

I went with the lower end one to get the steel steerer. I'm not smooth yet and I don't want to bend anything with a hard landing.

Pike. Whatever model you choose. Go shop.

drop the travel down when dirt jumping, up when on trail. the crown to axle is about an inch taller than the Fox, something i prefer when steep stuff. and the Fox is s tiff fork, but not comparable to the Pike with its 20mm Maxle setup.

Yeah, for each riding I can always make the fork stiffer or softer. I can also keep the 2001 Bomber I have, quikly switch for the dirt jumper trails around here.
