General Cycling Discussion - I finally feel like I belong

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Joe, I thought I was special when I became a MEMBER after only 25 posts. I suppose I still have a while to go before I'm in the same league as you, eh?

Joe,
I wanna see some cooler avatars. There's some really slim pickins!
Like maybe, "Herman Munster," "Pinky and the Brain, (Today, we're taking over the world!)," or "Johnny Bravo."
Eh?
By the way, Oscar, I still can't figure out what your avatar is! (You can tell me!)

I don't see anything wrong with the current system....
Of course, in a week or so I'll be able to make up my own title anyway! :)

Maybe 100 posts could be a Pete, 200 could be a rePete. 400 could be Way to Much Free Time. :D

Thank you...Thank you...
I would like reassure everybody that despite my new lofty title I plan on remaining a humble Pozer. After all, I did get half my posts from the SPAM thread.
I just hope that I can be an inspiration to all those who are feeling inadequate because of their "Newbie or JR. Member" status. Or even to those mired in mediocrity by their regular "member" classification.
Keep the faith. Just remember, someone at some point will post another SPAM thread on here.
I would like to leave you with this quote for inspiration. I base my life on it:
Follow your dreams, you can reach your goals, I'm living proof. beefcake! BEEFCAKE!!!

Well, lemme tell y'all sump'n or other...
When I was an aspiring "Newbie," "Jr. Member," and "Member," we didn't have any "SPAM" threads like you young folk do today! Nossir! We had to weave our "SPAM" into regular threads, sometimes making up things as we went along and passing them off as truth. A really GOOD "SPAM" blended into a thread in such a way as to seem to contribute to the Forum, regardless of your real experience! Now, I won't lie (this time), we had something sort of like "SPAM" in my day: they were called "word games," in which you could post three little words and, SPAM, you had another post! But I didn't go for those sissy games much. Some of us went in for the hardball stuff, like giving people advice about things we'd never done ourselves, like brain surgery, or testing Kevlar(R) products during bike stunts! Now that takes (anatomical designation of male anatomy inappropriate in mixed company)! Yep! Those were the days...<sigh>
Mind you, I'm not being hard on the young'uns, just a little helpin' hand.

You've got WAAAAYYYY too much free time. Why aren't you out riding??????
Back in the day it was stories about mike's brain and transplants that got aspiring newbie's their 100 posts.
Well,I have to get my 200th somehow don't I??

And...?
As for going out riding, I do that to/from work and other destinations instead of driving. On a commute day (3 or more days a week) I get in 30 miles.
That's why I need "BikeForums Therapy." My brain keeps riding while by bod rests! (O.K. Badger, so my mileage looks a little thin. You just wait!) ;)

How did I get dragged into this? I don't even understand the implication here... I am always soooo confused!
I think" about 50 miles outta town we turned around" has something to do with it.

Oh, please! Not another SPAM thread, hasn't it's reputation suffered enough. I will not have SPAM being used in such a derisory manner. This entire planet rides on SPAM's back.
Ask not what SPAM can do for you, but what you can do for SPAM! I'm gonna take a little lie down now, but when I come back, I am going to make an all-out desparate bid to install SPAM as the sole world dictator.
SPAM uber alles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang on tight... cuz here we Go!!!!!
