A question for those that may have tried this:
I've got a really nice rear brake (recessed mounting) that I'd like to use as a front brake. The mounting bolt on the rear brake measures 12mm, and the mounting bolt of a front brake is usually 32mm.
Problem Solvers offers an extra long mounting nut that measures 30mm long. Since a standard mounting nut is 10mm, I think the extra long nut would reach far enough into my fork to engage the threads on the shorter mounting bolt of the rear brake.
Has anyone tried this setup? Does anyone see a flaw in my thinking? I realize that the ideal solution is to replace the mounting bolt on the brake (it's a sidepull), but an $8 extra long nut would be preferable to a $40 replacement center bolt.
