It's likely to be the team with more points on Super Bowl Sunday. Go Stillers!

Just my roundabout way of saying I hope they don't win. At this point, they also have the ugliest uniforms, and the fattest coach. ;) A team with a fat coach hasn't won the Super Bowl for several years. :p

sunninho
01-17-06, 11:45 PM
LOL, you're right about that. But the last time a fat coach, Mike Holmgren, won he did it with Greenbay. So, now he's coming back with the Seahawks :) If not them, who are you pulling for?

USAZorro
01-18-06, 01:07 AM
The AFC. Since the Bills aren't in, and since the Pats, Dolphins and (sorry here) Titans (no forgiving the illegal forward lateral) are out, I gotta go with the AFC. Pittsburg? Denver? It doesn't matter - despite the fact that Steeler fans annoy me.

What? Me? Opinionated? Nah! :D

sunninho

It was not a forward lateral... look again... a trick of the camera angle, buddy ;)

I've seen it at least 100 times. It was a trick of the same NFL officials who let Vinnie Testaverde bounce in from the one for a touchdown. :p

LOL, well, I've cried all my tears for the Superbowl loss at the 1 yard line that year and for the 35-3 meltdown in the 1992 playoffs by the Oilers against your Bills

See, the refs let you be put in the position to agonize over the a game they shouldn't even have made it to. If they'd have done their job, maybe the Bills would stand alone at the top of the o-fer list. :o

The big comeback game was Jan 3, 1993. :D One of the best games in NFL history - second only to the 51-3 trouncing of the Raiders a couple years previous.

This is going to be tough. Tough - tough. The Panthers are an away team. They like the battles away from home field. It's what makes them good. That being said: The Panthers are also schizophrenic. One minute their kicking butt, the next their anemic. What team will show up Sunday? Who knows?

What I do know is that Seattle is very responsive to the shifts and changes of their opponents. They are very adaptive. But maybe not adaptive enough for Steve Smith (the X factor). But with Foster out, the Seattle defense will be looking more toward Smith for all the big plays. Which in turn may open more room for Goins to get more yardage.

Still I see the outcome:
Seattle + 10.5 (even though I’m a Panther fan)

Bobby Boucher: "Well I like school... and I like football... and I'm gonna keep doin' 'em both because they make me feel good.

[Slams door, then comes back]

Bobby Boucher: And by the way, Mama... alligators are ornery because of their medulla oblongata.

[Slams door, then comes back]

Bobby Boucher: And I like Vicki and she likes me back. And she showed me her boobies and I like them too."

I have nobody to root for. The Bucs are gone. The Colts are gone. I have one Sister in Law in Denver and one in North Carolina. So I can’t back the Broncos or Panthers. :D I think the Steelers are hungry to win. The Seahawks are looking good too. I just hope it’s a good game.

I've gotta chime in here...Bill Belichick isn't exactly svelte, eh? Why do you think he always wears those hoodies? His offensive coordinator (Charlie Weis) during the SB wins had a gastric bypass, for crying out loud. And his defensive coordinator (Romeo Crennel) looked like the poster boy for pizza and beer night. :D

I'm sorry, Seatle isn't allowed to win anymore games; it specifically says in the NFL rules book that they are limited to 13. I dunno why everyone's getting so excited.

LOL! I tried to like the Broncos when I first moved here. However, after several lovely experiences with the fans I gave up and went back to my favorite team Green Bay. Seattle is runner up due to being located in my home state.

Just because I favor one team from a certain conference doesn't mean I can't like and cheer on another. Besides, I'm in LA so I get to be a little wishy washy, since we have no NFL team :D

My favorite teams:
Titans / Oilers (Earl Campbell, Warren Moon, Run-n-Shoot, Steve McNair, Eddie George)
Eagles (Randall Cunningham, McNabb)
Raiders (Jim Plunkett, Bo Jackson, Black and Silver Raider Nation)
49ers (Montana, Rice, Ronnie and Deion)
Vikings (From when it was Cunningham and Randy Moss)
Seahawks (The City)
Lions (Barry Sanders, Run-n-Shoot)
Colts (Dungy)

I would have gone with a division rival, the Colts or the Jags, but that's history (bang! bang!) Now, I must root for a west-coast team for a city I got to visit a few times and fell in love with :)

I meant with the 2 Teams being in the SAME DIVISION! Cripes!

Weather is gonna be CLEAR and COLD for the GAME.... Hoping Jake is on his Game, less then 2 INT's would be nice LMAO

You are making a very good point that I had not thought about. So far, the defenses have not been that big a factor, except for the Colts who were beat by defense and didn't have any defense in the first half. I think you're right. It's time for that old saying, 'Defenses win championships' to take over this weekend.
