Will this work for hub lockrings too?

Actually for a hub lockring u need an smaller spanner... hozan has one.. u can get it at ebay like for 10 bucks...

I half expected to see: "Hey guys.. am I a tool cause I (insert hipster attribute here) OT though, I think BB lockrings are bigger. They will thread onto the larger threads on a normal track hub, while cog lockrings obviously thread onto the smaller. You COULD however, use the right side of the tool on either.

yeah i use the right side of that tool for my dura-ace lockring

i got mine at my lbs... and its in nowhere oklahoma...

i tried using the single pin side on mine, but it would always slip out of the notch in the lockring. maybe the tolerances on mine weren't as good? i'll have to try the other side later. otherwise i'm just going to buy a new one from mcmaster-carr

When I bought one the bloke at LBS suggested filing inside the pin to get more of an edge to grip. Haven't tried it though, my BB ring came off sweet and i's got a freewheel out back.

my LBS gave me one for FREE because the single pin side was a little worn out, which i understand is common for the ones made by park. i also use the left side to take of DA lockrings! it works ok.

why compromise?...

apparently so. i just tried the left side on my lockring and it worked like a charm. well...now that i have my hub apart, there goes any hope of finishing this homework.
