Is it possible to get the stuff off of my frame? I used a spraycan without thinking about this... thanks :)

Won't mineral spirits take it off without ruining your paint job? Bet mswantak could give a definitive on that.

Real shellac disolves with rubbing alcohol. Try it.

Denatured alcohol is the real thinner to use with shellac, but rubbing alcohol is much easier to find and even the 70% strength is probably good enough to dissolve some overspray...the 90% would be faster...even Vodka might do in a pinch. When you get around to making your own shellac from button or flake, you will only want denatured alcohol to "cut" it with, or better yet some pure museum-grade unadulterated wood alcohol makes the finest flowing brushable shellac.
