Evolution of a CNC router. Got hte table, and the material :)
This is what i've been posting about lately, this is the project :D

24x40 aluminum, 1100 alloy. Drilled and tapped 1/4-20 every 3 inches as a grid.
Used 1x2 extrusion from 80/20 Inc.

Where do you do all this stuff, your garage?

How do you hook up the router machine to the CNC computer? or do you like, have to buy that part whole?

I have stepper motors that control each ballscrew. THe stepper is wired to a driver board, which through a DB25 cable connects to my computer. ANd voilla :)

A friend of mine works in a scene shop where they have like 6 of these. They make everything with them, there are like 2 saws in the whole shop.

GIMP > image > scale image

Pick a size. 640 x 480 is pretty good. 25% would work, too. Then re-upload them and save a few gigabytes of web traffic (at 1.5 MB each, if 300 people view this page, that's 1.3 GB!).

Now I'm just scared. My router table arrives tomorrow. Slightly different model, mind you.

Yeah, +10 on that! I hate having to try to scroll all over the place to see a picture. 800 x 600 is plenty big enough!

I was looking for a row of RJ45 ports, LGLs and LRLs, a binary high/low switch and some tabs to mount on the rack.

Must be broken. :)

He basically took apart an old car, sold off the junk and kept hte body!

He basically took apart an old car, sold off the junk and kept hte body!It looks like one from a 240D from the '70s. My dad had one, four-speed manual with the 65hp Diesel engine, and drove it ~60mi round-trip to work in Alaska. We also towed a house trailer with it up and down the Alaska Highway to Minnesota and other places. What an indomitable little car... 283000 miles including trailer towing, slogging through deep snow with heavy crossbar-reinforced chains in Alaskan winters, hitting a steer on the road in North Dakota at night (and surviving it)... tough little workhorse :) In the end, the splines on the rear axle joints were too worn and we sold it to a scrap yard. But it fired up when it was finally time to go. :(
