Everyone seems to have some custom slogan under their name... How do you change it? Mine says Newbie and I cant seem to be able to edit it. Any suggestions?

We were all newbies once...with posting you gain status. I forget at what point you become a member but at 50 posts you become a senior member. I don't know how you get to be a "gunboat pilot" or "forum janitor" but my assumption is that those that have been around awhile and post alot get a personalized status from the forum moderator, though I could be wrong about this. The moral of the story is this, "Be patient young padawan." for the time being you are listed as a newbie...the reason being that you are a newbie. but have faith it gets better. By the way...if nobody has done so already i would like to say "welcome to the forum" there's a lot of knowledge about cycling here.

You go through a number of stages.
There are others here who could explain it better but as I remember it you're a newbie, then junior member, then member, then senior member.
After 100 posts you'll get an extra field in your profile which lets you edit your own title.
Just keep posting and you'll get there.

as long as the admins of this board have used the default settings, then the following is true - taken from the vBulletin User Manual. http://www.vbulletin.com/manual/manual.pdf
"All members that have under 30 posts will have the Junior Member title. Users that have posted between 30 and 100 messages will be granted the "Member" title, and all users that have posted over 100 messages will earn the "Senior Member" title."
