Does anyone know what currently available seat post binder bolt would work with my 70s Bottechia. A picture of the seat cluster is attached. The tabs where the binder bolt attaches are about 21mm across.

Thanks,

Eric

Since it's Italian, I would bet a Campy NOS seat post binder bolt off eBay would work. There are usually several available @ about $20.

It looks like it uses a Campy. When I got my last bike, the seller hadn't secured all of the parts and apparently 1/2 of the binder bolt fell out of a hole that was torn in the box. I went to my lbs and got a generic bolt. It turned out to be too long. Instead of taking it back and continuing the search, I just cut it to the proper length with my Dremel tool. Cost about $3.

It's amazing the deals you can get on Ebay.
Seriously, if you do have to cut it, you will have to do something to protect the cut end from rusting.

I have a late 70's Botecchia and currently it has a Suigino bolt...but Campy is nicer. Any old-school, notched seat binder bolt from the bike shop will work.
