General Cycling Discussion - The smell of the air.....

I was riding home this evening ,just warming down after a nice road ride through the ranges when I got into my 'hood at around 6pm and man I was hungry!and I could smell what was everyone cookin' for dinner!! I was gettin' high on that sweet smell driftin through the air ...bbq ..one place...casserole another..See this is what you miss in a tintop.HAHA .. let me know some stuff you guy's have experienced..thanks in advance - Buddy.

How about the moist morning air, when I get up early enough. That's the best time to be out, especially along the river.

The smell in the air after a morning rain storm is the best. Also, coming home after a Sunday afternoon ride, there a BBQ cooking up in every backyard. (Be friendly to your neighbors!)

I also like the smells as I pass along the back yards, but I like best the feeling I get as the air temperature changes for just a second. It could be somewhat cool and for a second change to warm and then cool again. However, I've not found that on a ride when I was going less than maybe 30 miles an hour.
