i've read the other threads on brakes so no need to tell me to do that.
i just bought myself an eastern bikes metal-head after 4years of not riding and omg does the brake suck.
it's got a gyro - which i'm thinking of removing, but don't particuarly want to. it seems to run a weird setup with dual cables going all the way from the bottom of the gyro all the way to the brake. i'm running black rims (not out of choice, but i'm poor so having to stick with them for a while) and was wondering if anyone could suggest anyway to improve the braking.
i was trying to tyre-tap and fell on my ass cos the brake sucks so bad.
different brake pads help? or do black rims and gyros always suck so bad?
